About · Aurea Build

Built on the
boring parts.

Aurea Build is an Austin renovation partner for people who care how the work is done.

We do residential renovations, investor renovations for flips and buy-and-hold properties, pre-sale make-readies, and the repositioning of homes that have struggled to sell. We work across Austin and the surrounding Travis, Williamson and Hays county areas.

We do not do ground-up new construction. That is a different business, and claiming it would be the first thing on this page that was not true.

The company exists because of a specific frustration: most of what goes wrong on a residential project was decided long before anyone noticed it going wrong. A scope that was never written down properly. A budget built on allowances nobody could actually shop within. A site condition that was assumed rather than checked. By the time those surface, they are expensive, and the conversation is adversarial.

The alternative is not complicated. It is doing the unglamorous work early, in the open, and being willing to say the uncomfortable number while there is still time to do something about it.

What that means in practice

Clarity before momentum. We would rather spend an extra week aligning the brief and the budget than spend three months building toward a number that was never real. A decision made on paper costs a conversation. The same decision made in the field costs a change order.

Quality without theatre. Attention goes where it changes the finished property. Not everything needs to be bespoke; the things that are, should be. Knowing the difference is most of the job.

Communication as craft. You should always know what the next decision is, when it is needed, and what depends on it. No mystery about what comes next, and no surprises arriving on an invoice.

Honesty about uncertainty. Some questions genuinely do not have an answer yet. When that is true, we say what the answer depends on rather than rounding it into a number that will not hold.

Who you will talk to

Aurea Build is small and direct. You will speak to the person who is actually accountable for the work, not to an account manager relaying messages.

That number reaches us. So does [email protected], and the estimate request form on the home page.

What we are not going to claim

A construction company's website is an easy place to imply things. We would rather be straight about where this one stands.

We do not currently publish project photography, client testimonials, review ratings, a founding date or a project count. The images on this site are concept studies that show design direction and standard of finish — they are not photographs of completed Aurea Build projects, and they are labelled as concept work wherever they appear. They will be replaced with commissioned project photography as the portfolio develops.

We also will not tell you that a preliminary estimate is a price. It is not. It is the start of a conversation, and it will move once plans, permits, engineering, site conditions and selections are real.

If that reads as less polished than the usual construction-company page, that is deliberate. The same instinct that would have us overstate a track record here is the one that would have us understate an allowance in a budget.

Where to start

The most useful first step is usually the estimate request form, because it captures the project context in one pass. If you would rather just talk, call either number above.

Whatever the route, the first conversation is about deciding what would actually help: a site visit, a feasibility review, or a preliminary budget range.
